Pursuing regulatory excellence through international engagement

Regulating energy infrastructure in the 21st century poses a number of challenges that are common to energy regulators from around the world.

By building relationships with its international peers the NEB can learn about their regulatory approaches, facilitate information and knowledge sharing, and – most importantly – improve regulatory performance in Canada.

And this is something the NEB has been doing for many years, by establishing cooperative agreements with other regulators in other jurisdictions and participating in regulatory forums that bring our international peers together.
