Pipeline safety is a shared responsibility.  Centra Pipelines field operations are based out of established offices in Rainy River and Emo, Ontario.  Employees are qualified and trained in safety and emergency response and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities in the area.

We also have strong partnerships with emergency services organizations in the communities where we operate. These organizations such as firefighters, police and emergency medical crews are familiar with Centra Pipelines’ operations and are ready to respond in the event of an incident.

While we are prepared to respond to emergencies, we are diligent in our efforts to avoid an incident on our pipeline through implementation of our Integrity Management and Public Awareness/Damage Prevention Programs.

For additional information on pipeline safety and management please visit the NEB’s website and review the NEB’s Landowner Guide and the NEB’s publication on Living and Working Near Pipelines.
